When Eric LeGrand suffered his paralyzing spinal-cord injury in 2010, he and his mother, Karen LeGrand, had plenty of questions about what would come next. And they were able to get the answers they needed.
Eric LeGrand wants to make sure others have the access to that same kind of counsel.
That might not be the case, according to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, if the proposed federal budget for 2018 goes through. Funding for the foundation’s Paralysis Resource Center was cut by 13 percent this year, according to the foundation, and t funding is eliminated altogether in President Donald Trump’s proposed budget for fiscal 2018.
